International Collaboration; Art Performances for Charity, A Charity Event Featuring Artists from 3 Countries

Auditorium, ummi.ac.id – The International Office of UMMI held Internaonal Collaboration; Art Performances for Charity. This event is a charity concert organized on cooperation between KUI UMMI and Insan Cerdikia Foundation, held at UMMI Auditorium from 19.00-22.00 WIB, Wednesday (25/4/18).

The theme is “Our Culture is Love Culture” which describes a culture of love among human beings. Artists from Indonesia, Netherlands and Malaysia performed artistic performances consisting of poetry, music, painting, dance, cooking and pantomime. From Indonesia, there are artists from Sukabumi and also Sinfonia Choir of UMMI and Lises Asmaranda UMMI.

From Malaysia, two students of Universiti Antarabangsa Selangor (KUIS) Malaysia, performed Malaysian pantun, by Muhamad Abdul Hakim bin Mohd So’od and Nurul Ezzah bint Mohd Nor. They showed a love-themed Malaysia pantun.

From Netherlands, Fleur Jepkema, Rony de Razario, Karin Lohuis and Chisum not only showed their musical art skills, they also cook a Dutch soup called Sweet Tomato Soup.

All collected funds are all transfered to Yayasan Insan Cerdikia who manage children’s education in Pangkalan village, Desa Padaasih, Kecamatan Cisaat, Sukabumi District.

Nurma Siti Muharom, a Mathematics Education student who is also a member of the Sinfonia Student Choir UMMI said that she was glad to be involved in the Internaonal Collaboration Art Performances for Charity and hoped that the yesterday’s performance could be beneficial to children in Kampung Pangkalan.

In addition Surya Adi Wiguna, the head of committee of the event who is also a student of Informatics Engineering UMMI hopes that such activities can increase awareness towards others and help improve the welfare of Kampung Pangkalan through the education facilities built by the funds.
